My Father In Law

I am briefly checking in to let you know that after 2 weeks in the hospital, my father in law unexpectedly passed away in the wee hours Saturday morning, April 18, 2009. My husband was with him and he slipped quietly from his son's arms to The Son's arms. He was in no pain and the two of them, Bepa and Tony, talked and laughed only minutes and hours before. He was to begin dialysis, but his blood sugar kept crashing and his body just shut down. He was one of the most honorable, most gentle, most selfless and most loving men I've ever known. He will be sorely missed by his wife, his son, his daughter in law, his grandkids, and all that knew him. He was kind, helpful and a friend to all - be they rich and powerful or poor and lowly. He was a good Christian example to all those around him and enriched our lives so. Until we meet again, Bepa. We love you.

I'm so sorry for the loss of a good and loving member of your family. He sounds like a truly decent person. So glad your husband was able to be with him and visit - I think often it would be a blessing to go quickly - open my eyes and see the glory. I know the pain (have lost both my parents and dear MIL in past 5 years) but it is eased by knowing - we will be together again.

What wonderful words of love and praise! For a man to meet His Savior and have his family on earth have loved and honored him so....well that is a life well lived and well rewarded! And a good example of what really matters! I am sorry for your loss here. Bless you.

Vickie, I am sorry to hear that you loss your father-in-law. My thoughts are with your husband and your children also, as they lost a special man in their lives. I too lost my father-in-law in November after a long illness. Although they are no longer in their pain,it's hard not to be selfish and wish they were still here. We are now able to tell Poppop stories and rejoice in the memories.

I am so sad for you, yet happy for him. Into the Son's arms! May you and your family be comforted by this, and the fact that he did not suffer long.
Your friend,
Margo

Vickie, he sounds like a wonderful man. I know you and your family will miss him, but isn't it wonderful to know that he is now healed of all ailments and is being welcomed by angels to worship our King. Love you, Girl!

Vickie...so sorry to hear of your loss! May the treasured memories be a comfort in the days that lie ahead.

My dad has been in hospital for several weeks now. We know that death will ultimately come to each and every one of us...but it is hard to imagine life without our parents.

Blessings,
Judy
