Stay Faithful!

Yes, I am sad and disheartened today like many of you.  I don't know what's going to happen and the human side of me fears for my children and grandchildren's futures.  America is not the place that it once was.  It is not the nation based on the love and fear of the Almighty God that was founded by our forefathers.  It's not the people here now that came here, fought and died for our inalienable rights.  One thing will never change --- that things WILL change.  They never stay the same.  And so we are off to another four years in a downward spiral, in my opinion, to the demise of our great nation.

After 8 years of this administration, is that a long enough timespan to change forever the way of the United States of America?  Is it time enough for people to forget the way it used to be?  When people had morals, and faith and Christian values and cared about their fellow man.  When people stood up for what is right and not for "if it feels good, do it".  When people listened and adhered to the teachings of the Word of God about homosexuality.  Before people thought they had a "right" to choose whether to kill the unborn and go on about their business.

I am amazed how scientists can find a one-cell organism on Mars and call it LIFE, and turn right around and say that a fetus does NOT constitute LIFE and provide a way for us to expel the offending unborn human being from our bodies because it's inconvenient.  Explain that one to me, will ya?  If memory serves me correctly, as a nation, we've killed about 55 million unborn babies to date and more are being aborted even as we speak.

Dear Lord in heaven, Forgive us we pray.  May we STILL turn to you and may it not be too late for you to Bless America.

Regardless - I am filled with hope for our future. I trust that God has a plan and that He knows best.  I will mourn, and then I will go on with life, loving those in my life, trusting in the Lord, and I will continue to pray for our president as he leads our country.  He needs our prayers.  Desperately - every single day.  He has a very difficult job and I sure wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

One thing I know.  I am His child.  He is my Heavenly Father.  No matter if the world comes to an end, it is well with my soul.  I hope and pray that you all are, too, my friends.

Review of the State of the Union Address

Louie Gohmert from Texas on the President's State of the Union speech last night.  Judge Gohmert is a well-respected conservative Christian man from East Texas, a lawyer, an Aggie, and an extremely intelligent and well-educated man.  Take a look at his take on the speech and hear what he has to say about some of the issues.  I trust this man's opinions implicitly.  He has many YouTube videos where he talks about different issues.  He's "good people" and I hope that he runs for President someday.

Islam on Capitol Hill????????????

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE MUSLIMS PRAYING ON CAPITOL HILL???  I just heard about that - where have I been?  My daughter called me earlier this evening and asked me if I knew.  What is our country coming to?  We're heading for Islam quicker than I thought!

Check out Pamela Gellar's Atlas Shrugs blog. She posts on this happening and It's rather lengthy, but she sheds alot of light on this subject and some background on the two Muslim guys that will be leading Islamic prayers from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, near the area on Capital Hill where our Presidents are inaugerated. It's also reported that 50,000 some odd Muslims from mosques all over the US will be in attendance to desecrate the lawn of our White House.  And, one of 'em said the "White House will become Muslim House". Unbelievable!

Islam is not going to take over the US by violence  - Islam is going to take over from the inside using "nice" techniques. This scares the pee-diddle out of me and enrages me at the same time.  How can Obama bring all these Muslim leaders like Qaddafi, among others, into our country!!!  I'm all for freedom of religion, but when we have had personal  terrorist attacks on our cities, and our citizens, HOW ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH CAN OUR PRESIDENT BE DOING CRAZY THINGS LIKE THIS? Qaddafi was refused in 2-3 different areas to set up his tent on their properties, one on Central Park, and I forgot the other places. Donald Trump is allowing Qaddafi's tent to be set up on Trump property.

I'm also mad as heck about the elementary school teaching their children some songs about Obama, and one of the songs only substituted the name, Obama, for Jesus' name, in "Jesus Loves Me". Now they couldn't sing "Jesus Loves Me" in school but they can sing "Obama Loves Me"?  Come on, give me a  break! Hell-OOOO???  Is this not brainwashing indoctrination stuff?  Just like Hitler???

And what about that nutcase Chavez (Castro without a brain - according to Bush)? He spoke at the UN after President Bush a few years ago and said Bush was a devil and the podium smelled like sulfur. Then when he spoke after Obama and said the podium no longer smelled like sulfer but now it smelled like hope. What a crock of malarchy!

Ok, there's my beef - this Islam crap really gets me going.  I have no faith in our government nor in our president.  I'm a Christian and I'm supposed to love all peoples, and I do, but as Christians we still have to draw the line, and we still have to protect our country. I'm worried about our nation. Never in my 52 years have I actually been worried about our country not being the number one, most powerful, most safest, most Christian,  in-the-right -place in the world. Now I know and believe that God is in control, but have we become such a sinful nation that I wonder - will we be allowed to go into slavery to another? We all sit around and complain and get mad.  Let's get out there and unite and make a difference. Let's take our country back. If somebody has a good idea on how to go about  taking it back, I'm the first in line.

Come on people, I'm no political analyst as you can see.  Am I way off base? Have I said anything that is incorrect?  If I have, please correct me.  I want to understand. These are my opinions and I'm stickin' to 'em unless somebody can change my way of thinkin'.

Whew! Calm down, Vickie.  I watch too much Fox News.  I think I'm moving to Australia.....

Clay

Well, here's my sister and her son, Clay, who is leaving for Navy bootcamp in a week. We all hate to see him leave, especially my sister. We had a wonderful time at his going-away party, and sis decorated her home and yard in Navy stuff. Her hubby is hoping his schedule will allow him to go with her to Clay's graduation in Great Lakes (Chicago area). If he can't, I wish I could go with her. Clay's always been my buddy. Ever since he was a little bitty thing. He's always got a big hug for his Aunt Vickie. He'll hang all over me. I love it! Sis is 5'9", so you can see how tall Clay is! He's been a beanpole for a long time, and they tell him that he'll be a "double rat" for awhile. That means he has to eat first and then go eat again at each meal. They want to pack some pounds on him. Must be nice....

I'll be so glad when tomorrow is over with, and the decision has been made as to which candidate has been elected President. I think it's going to be ever so close, and we may all be surprised at the silent majority that comes out to vote. There are still lots of God-fearing, Christian people in this land that are praying for God's will to be done. I'm one of 'em and I know most of you that I follow are, too. Let's all band together and be on our knees tomorrow, in our hearts if not physically, and ask God to do what's best for our great land and to continue blessing her.
