Family Business
Hi dear friends - been out awhile - my cousin is having to disperse with her parents' house and belongings. I helped her have an estate sale this week and weekend, and I've been out. It's not over with yet, as we still have quite a bunch of stuff. We'll be trying to contact 2nd hand shops, flea market folks, antique dealers, floral shops (my aunt was a silk florist) to see if we can find any takers. Keep my cousin, Debra, in your prayers. She's had SO much to deal with with the death of both parents the same week, taking care of the estate, the bills, the sale, etc. I don't really think she's had time to grieve yet. She is coming to the farm with me this weekend to get away for a while and relax. I hope it will help her. There's still so much to be done....

Debbie, I have said a prayer for your cousin. I hope that her time with you can help her find some peace, feel a bit more grounded. I am sure all of this has been tough on her. God bless.
My heart goes out to her! I can't imagine facing the loss of both parents in such a short time! She is so blessed to have you helping her and I hope this weekend will be a much needed respite. V.
Debra is in my prayers.
I too have said a prayer for her and hope you both have time to kick back , do a bit of laughing and remembering, and yes, maybe a little bit of crying, the kind that brings healing.....
I'll be prayin' for you and your cousin. You're a blessing to her in these trying days.
It is very hard to deal with a death in the family.....and then two deaths. There is so much to be done and finalized.....so good that she can come and find refuge with you! blessings,Kathleen
Life seems to rush at us sometimes - I'm in one of those times where I just want to dig in my heels and say NO enough - I can't do one other thing! But we serve a Lord who gives us strength for what we are supposed to do today - can't borrow on tomorrow's strength or slop over a bit from yesterday - today is the day we get what we need for now. So I hope you all had a good time together on the farm - wonderful time of year in the country. Bless y'all
