You might have seen this making the forwarded email rounds, but it gives me great sadness to know that alot of it's TRUE...
*Twas the month before Christmas*
*When all through our land,*
*Not a Christian was praying*
*Nor taking a stand.*
*See the PC Police had taken away,*
*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*
* December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.*
*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*
*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*
*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*
*Something was changing, something quite odd! *
*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*
*In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.*
*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*
* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*
*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*
*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*
*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*
*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*
*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*
*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !*
*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*
*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*
*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*
* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*
*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*
*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*
*So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'*
*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*
*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*
*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,
not Happy Holidays !*
Please, all Christians join together and
wish everyone you meet
MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!
Christ is The Reason' for the Christ-mas Season!

I was on the road with my husband last Friday. As I watched the scenery, one thing kept popping out at me, the hand made signs in yards proclaiming: bring the Christ-mas back into Christmas.
I do catch myself saying Happy Holidays from time to time, as much as I loath the statement.
I'm with you......Merry Christmas!!!!!!
I have seen this before, but it is always good to read again! blessings,Kathleen
Your post is right on. My sentiments exactly.
Well said, Merry CHRISTmas!
I like your new page! Your house looks pretty and festive.
Debbie
Very festive page design - and yes - it is all about Christ - especially for us this year, economy has been a factor but also the simple fact - in the midst of a darker valley - our lives continue to be blessed beyond our imagination - not excess but every day - we have enough - enough is a wonderful concept -nothing to waste and nothing to want. It is well with my soul indeed - the Incarnate Christ being acknowledged - most heads will bow (at least in this part of the world) and many knees will bend but soon - we believe EVERY head will bow -
Merry Christmas Vickie -
And a Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Merry Christmas to you.
Amen Sister!Love the poem...and the last picture is a good one, probably more realistic than almost all other pictures I have seen about the night of Jesus' birth. Where-ever did you find this picture?
That was wonderful, Vickie! It's sad we've lived to see this day when so many people need to be REMINDED of the meaning of Christmas, but I guess that's the way it is....
Thanks for your visit to my blog and leaving me a comment. I really like your blog...I went back and read some old posts and I was cracking up at the one about taking the kids to the laundromat.
I think it's so neat that you are living on so much land and fixing up an old farmhouse. Now, fighting the gophers and moles, not so much fun. It sounds like us with the field mice. We have alfalpha fields all around us, so it really brings the mice. I even found a couple in the chicken coop. Yuck.
This post was so true...I just got a bumper sticker yesterday from Bill O'reilly's website that says "WE SAY MERRY CHRISTMAS".
Amen...Merry CHRISTmas!! By the way, I love your window box.
Yes, Merry Christmas to you! I try to make a point of saying it and always thank any clerk who wishes me a "Merry Christmas" for using that phrase...about three so far this Christmas.
Can you believe that I am finally here? :D It sure has taken me long enough.
Hope that your holy days are delightful and delicious!
Well said!
Merry Christmas to you!
Linda
