My gophers certainly did not see their shadows this morning. They are DEAD. Every last one of them that steps tooth in my yard. I promised them that this would happen, but they just don't listen. Dear Vee, I'm sorry that I cannot make the same disclaimer #4 as you -
Actually, I think I can - if it's about the actual post, there were NO gophers killed in the MAKING OF THIS POST. Oh good, I'm off the hook with Vee..... She loves the GOPHER COUNT on my sidebar!

So, I don't really don't think any of my gophers saw their shadows this morning. Now, I guess some of their relatives that live out in the pastures could. But if they even so much as cast a small little shadow or they stick one little toe (or tooth) into the parameters of my yard at the farm, they are dead meat. Are you listening gophers?????? Smiling at me trying to look cute with your old yellow choppers won't get you anywhere. It's a lost cause! My mission in life is to put you guys into permanent hibernation!

I don't blame you one bit..I remember my dad setting traps and our 3 Siamese cats watching their holes..they did manage to get quite a few of them...between Dad's traps and the cats...the gophers were history...

Nasty destructive little varmits, aren't they? I'm glad you have them under control now! My sister just had a run in with beaver's at their house. They were very scary!

The GROUNDHOG is the shadow thrower Vickie. But it looks like you needed an opportunity to vent about your gophers and you did. I hope you get'em all! We have problems with those in the Midwest to.

Keep up the good work. Many people do not know how dangerous these little gophers can be.
We have gophers in NE OK, but we have a worse problem with moles. My 2 dogs get a lot of them, but they seem to multiply exponentially. They are ruinous to yards.
You go Sandy! Get those awful gophers good! Just like a good Texan!
OOK! GACK! A dead gopher is the only good gopher, IMO.
