FLEA MARKET STYLE MAGAZINE

It's here!  At last, the long-awaited funky, junky, deco magazine we've all been anticipating with bated breath!  Flea Market Style Magazine!  With writers and partners in junk, Ki Nassauer & Matthew Mead!  They've got it all together and it's a doozy - you'll have to get one for yourself - THIS one's MINE!  At Barnes &Noble AND also at my dear friend's, Margo at Robojunker, at her booth at Our Little Corner in Tyler, Texas, and at Winnie & Tulula's in Athens!  I know there're probably some more places, but go to Margo's blog to find out!

I've been poring over my own private copy ever since I got it from Margo yesterday, and let me tell you, it's a beautiful magazine - even my hubby said so!  It's spilling over with luscious colorful JUNK, refurbished treasures for one-of-a-kind decor and practical and innovative (and did I mention CHEAP?) storage solutions.   Let me tease you with just a few pics...

Who'd of thunk you could make such beautiful centerpieces from old funnels? I guess the flea markets are going to have a run on funnels now...

Look at this cool cart - you could use it for just about anything! I want one! I can think of all sorts of things I could use this cart for!

Isn't this the most romantice and rustic and easy to live in barnhouse EVER?

Remember last fall when Ki came to Tyler at the invitation of our own resident Junk Lady, Margo, and Margo took her to Canton, Texas, to the Biggest Flea Market in the US?  Well, there is a 10 page article about Ki and Margo's adventure in Canton complete with pictures!  They had a ball, found some great junky bargains and wonderful carnival food, and Margo's son, Allen Arrick, was the official (and professional) photographer who documented this glorious trip!

This turquoise is my absolute favorite color in the whole wide world!  I had to show this picture, and that's all I'm going to show you - you'll have to get the magazine for yourself to see all the rest of the goodies!  I promise you won't be disappointed!!!  Hurry before they run out!!!

Want to see more?  Click the Flea Market Style Magazine button on my sidebar and it'll take you directly there to all the links you could possibly want!  Ki's and Matthew's and many more!

Wow, I love going to garage sales and looking for fun old things to re purpose. And now there's a magazine devoted to that very thing. Have you seen the new TV show American Pickers? It's about the same thing.

Vickie - I'm out the door to go to Barnes & Noble!! I love to refurbish old treasures! I can't wait to see the rest of the magazine, what delightful pictures and ideas. I will, undoubtedly spend way too much time day dreaming about all the fun projects I could be doing - thanks for sharing. OXOX

A magazine after my own heart! I was doing shabby chic before that called it that, we called it getting by.
