Okay my peeps - my husband has been trying to get me to do this for quite some time, so I'm gonna take a stab at it.
A few years ago, I was in an online art gallery, and I still have giclee prints from several of my original oil paintings. I have been trying to get some good quality photos of them so I could put the giclees in an Etsy shop. I'm attempting to do this so bear with me. It's taken me 2 hrs tonight to get one photo on there. I'm technologically challenged. I needed my daughter or son here to help me, but they were unavailable so I winged it. (or wunged it - whatever)
I will be adding more giclees to my shop as time allows as well as trying to do some new original smaller items. I do all my painting in oils and occasionally acrylics. Sometimes I'll throw in a watercolor with some pen and ink. Giclee is simply a fancy French word for reproductions or quality prints on canvas. They look like originals in other words. The online gallery closed down and I've been thinking of what else I could do with them, so Tony volunteered me for Etsy. So here we go.
You can see a few of my paintings down on the bottom right of my sidebar. Now that I've advertised that I'm doing this, I'll have to follow through with it. Here's my link - Sand Flat Farm Artist Studio. You all can hold me accountable. I simply HAVE to get back painting. I NEED to do it, even if it's only for ME. So, take a look, enjoy, no strings attached!
EDITED TO ADD: Giclee is pronounced "Zhe-clay". Also, I will be posting new photos on the etsy shop of my works. The one on there right now is a "make-do". Probably shouldn't have used it until I've got the good ones...

My favorite was the one of the bluebird with the berry in his mouth that says "award free blog".
JUST KIDDING! Your pictures are very beautiful. What talent! I am partial to the ones of Texas landscapes. I bought a painting of
a field of bluebonnets when I was last in Texas at Saledo. The dancers are so 'San Antone'. I hope you can fix it where we can blow them up bigger and see the detail. Hands down girl, you're good!

Hi Vickie,
I'm so glad your husband convinced you to share your beautiful art work.
You are so talented......keep that paintbrush moving. God gave you a talent, and you need to use it and share it.
Hugs,
That is so wonderful! Glad to see you using your talent.
You are one talented gal and this is a great idea! Much success with it and, if I save my pennies, I hope to own one some wonderful day.
Thanks for explaining what giclee is. I didn't know that term. How do you pronounce that? :) I think I'll have to have a giclee.
Love the pond picture, but the dress details are wonderful.
Girl, you have a wonderful talent! Get to it! Will check you out on etsy. What's your name there? Or where's the link?
Wow, your paintings are beautiful. God will bless your efforts.
Love your paintings!!! Good luck with your shop!
I really got a kick out of your story about your hubby's car when you were dating...it was so true about being about the car.

Wow Vickie, you are very, very talented! You better be pursuing a showcase for it!Yup, now you have to follow through on your art because you told us all you would and isn't that a lot of pressure?
Can I just tell you how impressed I am! You are so good, never give up and keep painting what is close to your heart, you can't go wrong. I can't wait to see more! Love the one titled "Summer in East Texas", it's beautiful, and I did feel like having a tall glass of sweet tea after I read the description!
