I am SO thankful this week for the close relationship that I have with my seester. I've been to see her this week! She is 3 years younger than I - when we were young, we used to fight alot. I was bossy, I was older, I always got blamed for our fusses, and she was taller, thinner and prettier than me! She was in the Tyler Junior College Apache Belles and was their poster child because she was so beautiful. I wish I had a photo of her from back then. You'd all agree with me, too! I was always SOOOOO proud of her, and Still AM!
As we got older, got married and started having our kiddos, we became closer and closer. She is my best friend. Is it hard for those of you who have more than one sister to pick just one of them to be closest to? I've always wondered. Since I only have one sister, I guess I don't have to worry about it.
We share everything. She's been there for me through all my ups and downs, and I've been there for her. Sometimes, we'll both pick up the phone and call each other at the same time. Same thing with email. We think about each other at the same time. It's neat to be together with the family or friends and if someone says something funny or wierd or odd, we both look at each other. She knows what I'm going to say before I say it, and I know her thoughts as well. What a blessing she is and has been in my life! Don't know what I'd do without her! I thank God for her daily - we're sisters and best friends! What could be better than that! Coming from the same family and having the same 'baggage', the same parents, the same beliefs and ways of doing things gives us a bond that is so strong. My daughter looks more like my sister than she does me. And that's okay. We use to go places all together, and everyone assumed that my daughter belonged to my sister! Here's a photo of my beautiful sister and her daughter...
This weekend, I am also thankful that the colors of Autumn are finally here! The colors popped over the last day or two. Since I've been traveling, I've been able to see a myriad of color up and down the highway and no two colors are alike! God's been swishing through with His big ole paintbrush and dabbing a little color here and there, and it's just gorgeous!
Ok, I'm tired, my friends. I'm still so tired, but I have to go to bed Maybe tomorrow I can post more. I'm just absolutely exhausted. Hope you all have a wonderful week and a blessed week.

I love it when sisters are close like that. My sis lives in Alaska so we can't just get together whenever we want..those sister bonds are forever! ;D
Hi Vickie, it's nice to hear about your close relationship with your sister. It seems too often these days you hear of family squabbles where no one gets along. You are blessed!
Have a good day,
Cheryl
Oh, Vickie! I so relate. I have one sister, too. We are only 12 months apart and live only two miles from each other. We are best friends, and I cherish that relationship with all my heart!
such a sweet post...beautiful sister....welcome home..
I am sure you were thankful everyday while you were gone. How nice to be able to visit with your sister. I also have one sister. We are quite different, I am a farm girl...she likes the city; and so it goes. Now my daughters, well there are 4 of them! and I guess my oldest and I are like you and your sister are. Funny...
Have a good week, Vickie, and hope you get rested up some.
I really am jealous of those who write about being close to the sisters. My sis 10 yrs ago got mad and she has disowned us all.
I really do miss not being able to talk to her, but I guess that I also have to abide by her decision. I keep praying that some day she will find her way back to us.
Hope that you get some rest.
Hugs
So nice to hear that you have such a great relationship with your sister. I always wanted one!!

Hi Sweet Farm Friend,
What a special tribute to your relationship with your sister, you are both beautiful! Rest up and have a great week.
It is a blessing to have such a wonderful friend and for her to be your sister to boot... priceless.
Hope you have gotten some good rest!!
This is a wonderful loving post. Oh how I used to fight with my sister (sisters) when I was young too ~ but now are the best of friends! I guess it's called growing up.
Welcome home, .... I hope you rested well last night in your own bed.
You, your sister and both girls are beautiful!!!
I don't have a sister, sure wish I did..... you are blessed to have such a sweet and close relationship with your sister..... such a sweet post!
My sister and I share a very similar bond although she is 10 younger than me. On Friday, just as I was going in for the compression mammogram, I got a text from her that simply said... "Everything is going to be OK. I love you." What a blessing to be able to share our lives with our sisters.
BTW the photos of your sweet hubby made me LOL:-)
Rhonda
Having a lovely time, with your sister/best friend, trumps posting stuff, any day!
Yes, your sister is beautiful.
But I've Net-known you longer, and have always thought you are beautiful! I have! I have! I have! So there!
And I know your daughter is your daughter.
Now stop with the building your sister up, by kind-of tearing yourself down. S-T-O-P! "Auntie" sezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. And you know you want to do, what "Auntie" sezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. 'Cause the alternative could be dangerous. -gigggggles-
Gentle hugs...

Your sister is beautiful, but so are you. You are right though, your daughter does look very much like your sister.
This time of the year is a busy one and often the weather makes me want to hibernate~ I'll be sleeping in tomorrow, it is cold and stormy here.( no new moles trapped for awhile. You are winning! So far.)
Awwww, Vickie- what a sweet post about your sis!! She is a very beautiful lady (like you!) and I know you two must have a blast when you're together!
Had to return and comment this time. You and your sister are both such attractive women. I'm so glad that you had a wonderful time together. Hope you've caught up on your rest!
