Praying for RAIN

Please join us here in Texas and other parched areas of the South as we pray for much-needed rain.  Thousands of acres of land and over 400 homes were burned in East Texas over the holiday weekend. A young mother and her toddler were killed in their home.  They were found with the mother's body covering her baby to protect her.  We have been having high winds from the last tropical storm to make the fire situation worse.  This is the worst dry situation I have ever seen in my life.  We need rain.  Animals are dying, ponds & lakes are dry or drying up, our water is being restricted.  It's bad.  People are losing their livestock - there is no feed to be had.  And now the fire situation is getting out of hand.  All your prayers are so appreciated...  The Lord knows what we need and He will send it in due time. Thanks..

Stay safe. We had friends lose their home in Bastrop this weekend. It's all so frightening. Praying for rain.

The situation is dire. Sometimes I just don't understand why God delays as I have joined so many in praying for rain for Texas all summer long. God love you all. Keep looking to Him for the answers and the remedy and I'll keep praying. If a day of fasting and prayer is declared, let me know!

The Lord will hear the South...we are Bible-believing, Lord praising, faithful people and we thank the Lord for doing what the weather people say cannot be done...end the drought ahead of the forecasters predictions and give us blessed relief!!!!! I am so sad about the fires...Bastrop was one of my mother's most favorite places on this Earth. The area is beautiful, the people friendly and their loss is felt by all of us Texans and beyond. Such loss and sadness in our hearts.

Hi Vicki...

Did you all wake up to a sky filled with smoke this morning? It was everywhere...I drove into to Tyler and there were layers of smoke...I have heard the fire sirens leave out several times today...We are all still praying and fasting for rain....
Hope all is well in your area...

I've had all of you in Texas in my thoughts and prayers. A friend in Corpus said they have had smoke blown all the way down there from the fires. Several are packing and ready to move out as soon as they need to and many are offering a place to stay to people and stock. Ya'll stay safe.

Been praying...I was wondering how you were doing. We just talked to a minister in Bastrop...he says it is horrible...over 600 in that area...churches burned also.

Yes Lord...send your rain...both natural rain and spiritual rain to our very dry State..we need you

My constant "sing around the house hymn" is showers of blessing -that plus modern song about rain down, holy spirit rain down - we are desperate for rain too - it is as one forestry official said last night "A drought of biblical proportions". Joining you in prayer.

Yes, Vicki, we are in the same situation in our part of Texas..........as of yet, no fires, but the threat hoovers over us a like a wet blanket. Even with rain, the fear of lightening striking the dry woods is a worry. My prayers are with my fellow Texans and with any one else in other areas who are having other weather problems. Blessings,Kathleen
