What's happening with Blogger???
Last night, I FREAKED OUT!!! I was blog-hopping, and all of a sudden my blog just disappeared! Then, I tried to log back in, and I couldn't find my blog! So I went to my South Light Art Blog and I was able to see Sand Flat Farm again, but I couldn't log in.
Then, I was re-directed to another page where it was denying me access, and it said I might be violating the Terms of Service???? What's that all about? It gave me a place to contact Google, which I did, via a comment thingie, and I went through this procedure several times. Then, on another page it made me supply a phone number for security reasons.
I was finally allowed to get back on my blog after much freaking out and wringing of hands. Even Tony was concerned! Does anyone know what that was about? It all appeared to be a true Google Blogger page with all their usual stuff on there and their Google favicon, etc.
My question - is there a way to back up one's blog to a flash drive or another place so it can't just disappear? I'm all EARS! I would HATE to lose my blog after all this time. I'm going on 4 years now, just like many of you, and I don't wanna lose this journal of the last few years of my life!!! HELP!!!

Is there a way to back-up Net stuff? Yes. Do I know it? No. Have I been told, and told, and told by a friend? Yes. Has he given up on my ever backing up? Yes.

Everyone has been having blogger problems lately. I think the jist of it is they want everyone to go to Google Chrome. I finally downloaded it because I got sick of not being able to comment (even on my own blog). I think they are updating stuff so they can monitor things better. I don't know how to back up a blog, but I wish you luck. I always just cut and paste my posts and mail them to myself so I have a record in case. I guess backing up would be easier. I just don't know how to......
Hi Vickie, I can well imagine your panic-I would be in a state if I had lost mine. I'm so glad it came back but if you get an answer about putting it on a flash drive would you let us know-I think it is something we all need to do.

I have backed up my blog a number of times...I think a flash drive would be a good way to do it because it takes a lot of room. The button for doing it is somewhere on your dashboard page, I believe.
That would be scary for any of us to not be able to get back in and there's no way that I would give them a telephone number! Yikes!!
That would of been very scary for you. I don't know how to back it up but if you find out please,let us know. I too would hate to lose all my info. Have a nice cup of tea NAND relax you must be stressed after that fright.

okay..... it looks as though we all need a lesson in backing up our blogs.
I kept a journal until I started blogging several years ago.... The thought of losing my blog and all that I've written would be so upsetting.
I hope someone has a good and easy answer...
Vickie, I am a new reader of your blog, but I have gone through many of the same things you have recently.. in fact, for a week I thought I was locked out of my blog forever. I finally could log back in, but yes, I agree with a previous commenter, I think it's related to Google chrome. I like some of the changes they are making to Blogger, but there are lots of little things happening and YOU CANNOT GET A LIVE PERSON TO HELP YOU! You have to leave a note in the Help files and then hope someone will answer. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!
I'd like to backup, too, mine is three years old and I would hate to lose it all.

Sorry you are having such a hard time with Blogger. I lost all my photos once and never did get them redone. Hope that is the end of your troubles.
