Yes, I am sad and disheartened today like many of you. I don't know what's going to happen and the human side of me fears for my children and grandchildren's futures. America is not the place that it once was. It is not the nation based on the love and fear of the Almighty God that was founded by our forefathers. It's not the people here now that came here, fought and died for our inalienable rights. One thing will never change --- that things WILL change. They never stay the same. And so we are off to another four years in a downward spiral, in my opinion, to the demise of our great nation.
After 8 years of this administration, is that a long enough timespan to change forever the way of the United States of America? Is it time enough for people to forget the way it used to be? When people had morals, and faith and Christian values and cared about their fellow man. When people stood up for what is right and not for "if it feels good, do it". When people listened and adhered to the teachings of the Word of God about homosexuality. Before people thought they had a "right" to choose whether to kill the unborn and go on about their business.
I am amazed how scientists can find a one-cell organism on Mars and call it LIFE, and turn right around and say that a fetus does NOT constitute LIFE and provide a way for us to expel the offending unborn human being from our bodies because it's inconvenient. Explain that one to me, will ya? If memory serves me correctly, as a nation, we've killed about 55 million unborn babies to date and more are being aborted even as we speak.
Dear Lord in heaven, Forgive us we pray. May we STILL turn to you and may it not be too late for you to Bless America.
Regardless - I am filled with hope for our future. I trust that God has a plan and that He knows best. I will mourn, and then I will go on with life, loving those in my life, trusting in the Lord, and I will continue to pray for our president as he leads our country. He needs our prayers. Desperately - every single day. He has a very difficult job and I sure wouldn't want to be in his shoes.
One thing I know. I am His child. He is my Heavenly Father. No matter if the world comes to an end, it is well with my soul. I hope and pray that you all are, too, my friends.

Vickie,
This is a beautiful encouragement. Thank you so much.
I agree, we need to press in and really be praying daily for the president and his administration.
I needed to hear this today.
We are all His children. I certainly hope He has a better plan in store for us.
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I have struggled with deep feelings of sadness today -- not so much even over the loss of the election in and of itself, but for what it says about the country and what our values are. I guess it's time for me to chin up, carry on, and have faith. Thanks for being a shining light and good example.
Lori
this was a moving post filled with
all that is in my heart, too.
Lord, have mercy.
Good post, Heaven help us if anything happens and Joe Biden becomes president .......... at least they won't have to spend money to redecorate the White House.
My Dear Chickie,
Those are beautiful thoughts. Absolutely, I so agree with you, and thanks for your encouragement to many hearts. After such a political fiasco, I will agree with you to continue praying for our leaders. I like what Wilkow says, "Our mental well being isn't tied to a candidate or president."
I'm keeping my eyes focused past our president and on King Jesus. He's our only hope.
Love ya, kid. XO
Sadly I agree with you completely. God help us.
P.S. I forgot to say -- I LOVE THAT GORGEOUS HEADER!!! Can you believe we'll be putting up the Christmas tree in a few days? I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet. ~
I agree with Debbie - love the gorgeous header. I am trying to get to the point of being mature instead of feeling like manure about election results - as always happy with Texas - Ted Cruz was the bright spot in election results for me. God is in heaven, scripture is still true and prophesy is being fulfilled - but I STILL am ticked at results - thank you for an encouraging blog post.
Hello,
I just came upon your blog (with the gorgeous header) via Cindy's blog.
Thank you for these words of encouragement...
I just did a post about election days.
And I titled it... "Snapping out of it"
After today I will snap out of it of course thanks to God and Jesus Christ... the Only one who can save us.
Amen
Sandy
I agree............. sad....
Wow, a gorgeous header. We all need to pray for our nation. Somewhere along the way "We the people" have been forgotten in government. Love this post!!
I was so sad all day yesterday... but, you are right, Vickie. Thank you for this encouraging post. blessings ~ tanna
This was so beautifully written. I came to visit after reading about your thoughtful post on another blog (I already forgot which one :( ) We need to pray for our country, its leaders and ourselves. I don't think God would take us this far and just drop us. I have faith. xo
I heard about this wonderful post on another blog and came to read it! I've been so sad, and mad too I must admit, that I had thought I'd break away from blogging for awhile. But it's given me encouragement to read posts like yours and know that so many feel the same and are praying, too. Great post!
Amen....I am praying for Revival and picking up my arrows to fight in the heavenlies
