I'm taking some sick days...

Send me some love ---- please ---- I've got the "crud".  I guess it's my turn, tho, I haven't been sick in quite awhile.  I think it actually started with allergies - can you believe the pear trees amongst others are BLOOMING.  We actually are having some pollen issues - just barely, but enough to make my alleries flare up into the crud.  Not working is NO fun when you're home sick, laying on the couch, watching the Animal Planet re-runs and stuffing Kleenexes up your nose to keep from dripping.  I've coughed until I think I'm gonna puke my lungs up.  I did call the Dr. today for some anti-biotics and cough syrup W/CODIENE.  So, if I start wandering off here, you'll know what's up.  Actually, wandering off to sleep sounds pretty good right now.  OK, anti-biotics, check. Vicks slathered on the chest, check. Vaporizor, check. New box of Kleenex, check. Couple of slugs of cough syrup, check, double check.  It's been about 10 minutes since I took it - when it is going to start working???  Cough, cough, sniff, slurp...

Our church threw a wonderful bridal shower for Josh and Lindsey this past Sunday afternoon.  They are off to a great start!  Thank the Lord for my extended "family".  It's such a blessing to have all those loved ones around to be there for you for whatever you need.  And it's also a blessing to give back to those same ones.  Josh's comment was, "Mom!  They really hooked us UP!"  They sure did, Josh!  We went by Josh's house later in the day, and those two had all their shower gifts strewn out all over the living room floor just looking and planning and dreaming.  Isn't love grand????  They are both so goo-goo eyed for each other!!  I'll try to post some pics of them soon - I don't have the pictures from the shower as they are on Josh's camera so... Here's one of their engagement pictures.  They are so cute!

Well, I'm gone - Off to bed, I think my super codeine cough syrup is kicking in and my typing is getting slower, so I'll go.  Wish me some sleep tonight, and thanks for letting me WHINE...  and don't forget -

Keep your dress down!

Oh Vickie!
How terrible....I am so sorry you are down with the "crud". Been there! My doctor didn't give me cough syrup with codeine......that would have been great! Hope it passes by quickly for you....

How wonderful that your church gave the shower for Josh and Lindsey. In blessing them they blessed you as well. I love that!!

What a wonderful engagement photo. They are such a lovely couple. May God richly bless their marriage.

You take care of yourself, please.
Your love and support by way of this blog and your visits around blog world are greatly appreciated.

Oh my! You've got it bad. Saying a little prayer that morning's light finds you well rested. Glad that you can stay home again today. I don't usually have allergies in my corner, but when I lived in Arizona, I thought I'd die. Wished fervently that I would even. So, I'm sure that you've heard this before...do you have access to local honey? It's the best remedy for allergies. Trust, but verify. ;>

So sorry you have the crud. :(
It just makes you feel awful and shuts ya down, doesn't it? Some of the meds make me feel worse!
I'm so glad the kids were happy with their gifts. I pray their love will only strengthen to get them over the rough roads that exist in a marriage. I think people give up to easily nowadays. They look so young! I think that's because I'm so old! Hope you get better soon:D

The kids are adorable! What was I thinking not to say so? What a blessing from the church folks. That's fantastic and just as it should be.

Haven't called the doctor...don't want to call the doctor. I'll just let it play itself out...ha! I'll pray for you that you start feeling better soon 'cause this weather is way to pretty to be feeling blah.
Sending good stuff your way,

Hope you are feeling sme better by now. My daughter in PA also had this stuff over the weekend. No fun I know. I've had my head in taxes, as well as trying to paint SOME every day. Not keeping up with my blogging friends as well as I ought.

Git well, Girl! Spring is coming!!

Glad to hear your son and future daughter-in-law had a nice pre-wedding shower.... such an exciting time for everyone!
Hugs to you,

Oh NO! So sorry to hear this. I have sure had my fair share of it over the past year. I am allergic to codeine, so never could take the cough meds.
The things that helped me the most were Probiotics, nose spray, and my Neti-Pot!
Hoping an praying you feel better soon and can enjoy some of this beautiful weather.
Your son's pic is lovely. Precious looking couple.
Love your blog header!
Hugs,
TARA
